AS LG Chem 80HF

AS LG Chem 80HF

Product Introduction AS LG Chem 80HF is a high‑transparency, high‑flow AS (acrylonitrile‑styrene copolymer) resin. It features high rigidity, transparency and excellent processability, coupled with good chemical and thermal stability.

Main Applications

Daily‑use Articles & Food Containers: Refrigerator internal fruit‑vegetable boxes, food containers, sealing cans, food boxes, tableware such as food‑grade cutlery, cosmetic packaging, pen housings e.g. ball‑point pen shells, lighter housings, etc. Its transparency and potential food‑contact compliance (subject to specific certification) make it well‑suited for these applications.

Electronic, Electrical & Household‑Appliance Components: TV bases, cassette cases, electrical sockets, housings, transparent panels for electrical products, turntable covers, electric‑fan blades, storage‑battery enclosures, junction boxes, etc. Reliable electrical insulation performance and mechanical strength meet component requirements.

Automotive Industry: Used for manufacturing automotive parts such as head‑lamp housings, reflectors, instrument panels.

General Industrial Components: Instrument casings, dashboards, battery boxes, toys, lighting fixtures such as head‑lamp housings and reflectors. High transparency and good moldability fit various industrial scenarios.

Injection‑Molding Parameters

Process Parameter Reference Range Remarks & Instructions
Drying Treatment 80°C, 2‑4 hours AS resin is hygroscopic. Sufficient drying is required (moisture content below 0.01% recommended), otherwise silver streaks and bubbles may appear on molded‑part surfaces.
Barrel Temperature Rear zone:170‑190℃ or 160‑210℃
Middle zone:180‑200℃
Front zone:190‑210℃ or 160‑210℃
Nozzle:190‑220℃
Melt Processing Temperature 190‑220 °C
Mold Temperature 40.0‑70.0℃ or 40‑60℃ 50‑60°C for high‑precision molded parts; 60‑80°C for high‑gloss and heat‑resistant parts.
Injection Pressure 50‑70 kg/cm² Adjust according to flow length and product structure. AS exhibits slightly lower flowability than PS, hence relatively higher injection pressure is required.
Holding Pressure 40‑60 kg/cm² (approx.30%‑60% of injection pressure) Optimize according to wall thickness and product structure to reduce internal stress and shrinkage.
Injection Speed High‑speed injection Delivers good surface gloss, color performance and minimizes weld‑lines.
Back Pressure 5‑15 kg/cm² or 29.4‑58.8 MPa Moderate back‑pressure ensures uniform plasticization and degassing. Insufficient back‑pressure may trap air and cause internal defects in molded articles.
Screw Speed 30‑60 rpm Ensure uniform plasticization only.
